Last month we had the honor of witnessing (and photographing) Emily and Andy’s breathtaking vintage garden wedding. Seriously, if ever I get around to planning an anniversary party, I would be beyond thrilled if it turned out half as breath-taking!
You may remember this handsome couple from their engagement session in Bayou Bend Gardens and The Heights earlier this summer. We couldn’t wait to see them express their love and although we didn’t see anything other than lightning and black clouds for days leading up to their wedding, early that Saturday afternoon the clouds disappeared and the sunshine was AMAZING! It was the perfect start to their beautiful life together!
After some time adoring this magnificent bride, we headed to the always lovely Gardens of Bammel Lane. In all honesty, I was not prepared for so much…. BEAUTY!!!!
All of the floral arrangements were like pieces of art! Just INCREDIBLE! We can’t even begin to speak highly enough about Petals by Design!
And the mismatched china?!?! The plantable cards?! What detail did Emily not think of?!
Their wedding consultant, Kim Moayed with Word of Mouth Event Planning Services did a great job putting all of the details together and keeping everyone on schedule!
In order to have more time with their family and friends after the ceremony, Emily and Andy choose to have a first look. Not only does a first look give a couple the ability to finish their formal family photos prior to the ceremony (and get to the party sooner), but it also makes for some unbelievably sweet photos!!!
Now that’s a GOOD reaction ( :
I love the showing-off and checking out that happens during a first look. Its so sweet to photograph such a tender reveal….
After Emily and Andy enjoyed a few quiet moments, we took some time for some awesome wedding party photos!
Then it was time for them to get MARRIED!
We loved their “guest book” – both Emily and Andy travel a lot, so a personalized globe made perfect sense ( :
Talk about a happy groom!
What a GLOW!
So much excitement in their smiles…..
These photos below still make me tear up…..
And then it was time for their first KISS!!!
Introducing, the newlyweds!!!!
After the ceremony, we managed to sneak away with these two for just a few minutes to take some solo photos! Talk about romantic!
Emily, you couldn’t be more stunning!
There is something extra sweet about a groom holding his bride’s dress ( :
After their solo photos, we enjoyed the laid back ambiance of the reception. So. Many. Beautiful. Details!!!
After being introduced and receiving TONS of congratulations, everyone enjoyed a warm sunset and friendly company!
Then it was time for cake and a very sentimental speech!
And before we knew it, first dances!
In addition to having a wedding cake, Emily and Andy had an adorable cupcake truck drive in and serve up some sweets that, from what I heard, were DIVINE!
So, sweet couple, gorgeous venue, delicious food and….. a very rad band! This is Our Band literally had everyone yelling for an ENCORE!
Tambourine? Yeah, they meant business!
Photo bombed by the Mother of the Groom! I see where Andy gets his wonderful sense of humor from!
Somehow the time came (way too soon) for Emily and Andy to pedal off into the night….. I have to say they had quite the awesome audience!
Emily and Andy, is it weird to say that from the moment we met you both we felt beyond excited and well more than honored to be a part of your new beginning together? In spite of hectic work schedules, kids (that’s plural because Max counts too!), and planning one of the most gorgeous weddings we have ever seen, you two were so calm and confident the entire time. The day of your wedding, despite the fact that it had been torrential down-pouring for days, you smiled and didn’t seem phased by anything – after all you were marrying your best friend. A love like yours is refreshing and inspiring. We couldn’t be happier for you both (and Grace too!). CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
