It would be impossible to start this post off without saying just HOW incredible these two people are! Kenzi and Alex are some of the most appreciative, intelligent, down-to-earth and modest people you could ever hope to meet! And their wedding day was just as spectacular as they deserved! With family and friends visiting from all over the world, Kenzi and Alex worked so hard to make sure everyone knew how much their presence was appreciated and their time was valued!
Kenzi’s day started off bright and early, hanging out with her bridal party at Hotel Zaza and getting ready for a full day of excitement!
We loved how creative Kenzi’s Mom was by making the bridal bouquets using special broaches and other jewelry with extra sentimental value.
Adorne Artistry did a fabulous job on Kenzi’s wedding day make up!
After Kenzi was dressed, it was time to have a first look with her hubby-to-be!
Kenzi and Alex really wanted their wedding party present during their first look! This is the first time I have ever photographed a first look that was not private. I can’t even begin to express how special it was having their closest friends and family a part of this unforgettable memory!!!
After their first look, everyone loaded up and headed to Alex’s family home for a special tea ceremony honoring his parents and other members of his family!
After a full morning, it was time for some wedding party photos and then to get married!!!! The McGovern Centennial Gardens was the perfect spot to say I do!
I really don’t think these two could take a bad photo if they tried!! Taking their bride and groom portraits prior to their ceremony was a great way to have a quite moment together and to let the excitement ahead sink in!
Get ready for all things unimaginably stunning! The wonderfully talented Posh & Private did an incredible job creating a flawless flow to Kenzi and Alex’s wedding day, as well as orchestrating a setting as dreamy below!
And Floral Events took this romantic moment to the next level. We could have spent AAAALLLLLL day staring at each tiny detail and to be honest, we’re still obsessing over that backdrop!!!
Kenzi and Alex had countless personal touches to their day that included their guests. During the ceremony they passed around their wedding bands so that their friends and family could touch, bless, and add their own love to them.
The last thing Kenzi and Alex did before they were pronounced husband and wife was to thank and hug their Moms. It was physically impossible not to tear up while witnessing such a thoughtful gesture of gratitude!
And then they were married! Presenting Drs and Dr Ling!!!!
After a quick break, it was time to celebrate at the Houston Museum of Science! The guests were completely blown away by the dreamy and romantic details! And the location could not have been more perfect for two science lovers!
Did we mention that Kenzi and Alex have been dating since high school!?!? Below is a photo from their prom!
Beautiful linens provided by House of Hough. We are still determined to have those table linens draped in our office!
Their cake was a completely edible work of art! We loved watching their guests gasp with excitement as they saw this beautiful masterpiece by Who Made The Cake!
And even before their first dance as newlyweds, Kenzi and Alex took time to dance with their parents!
After the dances, cake cutting, and toasts it was time to celebrate!!!!
What do two doctors do instead of a garter toss? A surgical cap toss!!!!
Drs and Dr Ling, thank you both so much for including us on your wedding journey. The way you love your family and friends speaks volumes to how much you love each other. Through high school, to college, to med school, to planning a spectacular wedding day, the two of you nurtured your love by constantly consider each other’s needs. You could have been married in an elevator at the hospital in your scrubs, and it honestly would have still been absolutely heart melting and inspirational. Cheers to many more decades of adventures and happiness together!!! Congratulations, Newlyweds!!!
